Today I showed Mrs. Norman the earth zoom out. I think she liked it, daniel really liked it to! It took me about 3-4 hours of work in AE Cs4. I went during class to film from several locations around the school, like the administration office roof, the High School hallways, etc. I am very tired

Today I showed Mrs. Norman my quick Introduction "Carol Morgan School", that I created using adobe after effects. I hope she liked it! I am planning on doing an earth zoom out from carol morgan school, using AE CS4.

Today we all assigned ourselves different topics such as, new cafeteria, new library, Tech labs, smart-board, etc. To create a new video for the teachers being contracted for upcoming years. I chose to pan the school from the Administration Wing Roof, Do some cool intro's, film street views, and also do a cool zoom out from school to space. I hope all this could be easy!

Today I was left behind in the trip, because I was 3 min. late to get on the bus! For the majority of the period I stayed in the library, but as soon as Mrs. Norman came to class I opened the computer to research for fun projects!

Today I just helped Mrs. Norman download some software to her computer! I was unsuccesfull because the computer was freezing a lot! :(

Today was a relaxingt day. I am waiting for people to finish their videos and I talked to Mrs. Norman on what should be the upcoming project. I hope it is going to be fun! Thanks Mrs. Norman for a great project (Wiimote)!

Today I worked really hard on my how to video! I am almost done! I just finished "super time lapsing" the videos and then I had to add more subtitles. I still can't find a music I like, I am looking forward to present this video. I am staring to work on my Intro.

Today I worked on my "How to" project at home, because I was really sick. I tried my best not to stay behind. I did some subtitles and edited some of my videos. I am still looking for a music that is not copyrighted, I found a website called ccmixter.org!

Today I started working as hard as I could, on my how-to video project!! I didn't have enough time to finish. I hope we don't have to hand in this friday. I would not have enough time! Please Mrs. Norman give us more time.

Today, I tried to stark working on my how to, but I had some trouble doing this. This is because some videos weren't converted right! I'll get my computer back for next class and I will start working on my video.

Today, was an awesome day!! I finished my car video and handed it in! Next class I am going to start working on my How To. It feels very well when you accomplish a goal within a week. The video was very cool! See you next class.

Today I started working again on my cars movie project using Adobe Premier cs4. I had some problems with the files on my new computer, so I guess tomorow I will try to finish it on my old computer.

Today was an awesome day at the PT2 classroom, It was the first day on my new sit and I finished my essay. I kept editing my essay until the bell rang. At the end of class I had to live some editing for my house, because I didn't have time! I'll send the finished copy by email before Friday is over.

Today at school I worked on my essay really hard to only have the need of correcting tomorrow. I also convinced Mrs. Norman to give let me choose my sit for the next quarter, because I felt I have earned my trust back. Today, was a busy day! I didn't have time to do anything else of interest.

Today, I worked on my 3rd and 4th paragraph of my essay. This essay is to tell the audience, why do you need a Low-Cost interactive Whiteboard? Why should you buy this instead of a Smart-Board? I don't have my laptop back from the repair place, but next class I will have it and I will start working on my How To video of the interactive Low Cost whiteboard.

Today I brought a usb with the mayority of my Wiimote Whiteboard How-To movie files. I started converitng them from .MP4 to mov. Also, today I worked on my essay. Tomorrow I think I will get my laptop back and start working on my video. Today, is a great day!

March 16th, 2009

Today I did a video of me playing some games and painting with my IR Led Pen. I filmed myself doing this for the final project, to show the viewer tat it actually works. It was a fun class because it was a great time for us to enjoy what we had been doing for the past week or so. This has been one of the coolest projects I have done! :)

Today I couldn't  do anything, because Katie Durking and Daniel Tsai were filming themselves playing with our "homemade" Smart-Board. I sat around and gave Daniel some ideas but didnt have time to film myself! I'll do that next class!

Today, at school I helped Daniel, by filming his How To Set Up the marker. I did this because I have already finished my two markers. Then I took my computer an investigated how to do smooth fast-foward on Adobe Premiere cs4. At the end of class we tried out our markers, with the wii-mote, a projector and the smart-board software.

March 10, 2009

Today at school I started my second marker. I filmed it, although it was, really hard doing the task while keeping your hand out of the camera. If your hands came in-front of the marker, the viewer cannot see the marker on the video, so you need to be careful. I got everything wired up, I was just missing the battery, so I decided to do the battery placement video at my house. This are two pictures, of my two finished markers, hope you like it. Wish to be using the software right now! I am missing a wii-mote!

March 6th, 2009

Today I tried to build the pen for the 3rd time a school, but while I was putting in the battery one of the cables was loosened from its original location, the positive side of the IR Led Light. I had to take all the components out of the sharpie highlighter case. I was somewhat angry, because this happened and the bell rang. When I arrived at my house I decided to finish what I started! I went to Ferreteria Cuesta to buy the cables and I bought my own solder with some Flux cable to solder my pieces together, so they don't loosen. It took me about an hour and a half to completely finish it. Here are some pictures of my finished highlighter.

March 5th, 2009

Today, I worked on my pen. It was a failure! I had everything set up, but when I was placing the battery inside it, the cables were disconnected. I was forced to take out all the components from inside the case! The bell rang, I have to do it again tomorrow.

March 2nd, 2009

Today in PT2 class we worked on our first video of our Wiimote Whiteboard IR Pen!(I learned the name! ;) ) The video consisted of introducing the material to create it for an audience. The materials were:
1) Sharpie or Expo Marker (easy removal of bootom cap)
2) momentary switch
3) gauge wire
4) regular wire
5) 2 AA batteries
6) Obviously, IR Led Light
* We used the flip camcorders to record the videos. mine was number 64.

Today I got to know the program adobe premiere. The program is used for video editing at a professional scale. I got through some basic tutorials on how to use the tools palette, getting to know the windows, etc. at atomiclearning.com. I am very exited for the project I am going to do! I am going to buy a camera to film the building the led pen. I need to know how many tripods you need Mrs. Norman, so I can order them.

Today I didnt do much on any program because I got ahead and finish the packet before some people. Instead of working on a new project, I researched on the materials needed rto create the IR-pen:

1. Basic Materials:
   Whiteboard marker (large enought to fit everything inside)
   Vishay TSAL 6400
   Momentary switch
   Wire (0.12 gauge is fine)
   1x Battery (1.2v or 1.5v N, AAA, or AA)
   Battery case to suit
   If using more than 1.5v you will need a resistor, read this to calculate the resistance you require
   Flux core solder
2. Basic Tools: Soldering iron, File, Pliers, Drill, Craft knife.

Note: I just started working on a new Adobe Illustrator packet!!!

Today I worked on 'Creating Shapes' with Illustrator. I learned how to draw a pencil and a pencil can. It wasnt one of my favorite activities in this class, but at least I learned something today. I also started thinking about doing the LED pencil at my house! I hope will do the wii mote project soon! See you next class!

What I did today at class! FRIDAY!

Today I really liked talking about the wiimote upcoming project. I am really excited about it and I think I will start doing th pen this week. After I finished talking about the project I started working on the illustrator and I got to the flowers file. See you next class!

PT2 what I want to learn?

During this semester O would like to learn more about mechanics than software. For example I really want to start doing robots! I know they are expensive but we could gather money if everyone brings some. Also I am really excited cause we will get to do the wiiremote multi-touch screen cause it will take alot of hard-work! I am not saying I dont want to work with any software, but I just dont want to do the powerpoint and excell again!
